Found a used 04....what problems should I be looking for?

I'm going to look at a 04 6 speed ex-demo tomorrow with 7k miles on it which seems to be priced right. I've read most everything in this forum about the 04's. I know the most important thing is to take it on a long test drive and explore all speed ranges looking for the infamous "shimmy". I'm assuming this shimmy happens all the time at a particular speed, so if I don't feel it during the test drive, I can feel comfortable that it's not going to show up later.

Any other issues unique to the 04 I should be looking for?

Thanks.

Here's What to Look For!!

Watch out for the "shimmy", the way to really find it is to take the car out on a smooth stretch of highway and vary the speeds between 60-80, if your car has a problem, this is where it will show itself. If you feel a vibration in the steering wheel or in the seat at these speeds the problem is there, also watch out that the dealership does not inflate the tires to 50 LBS, this is a trick they have been using to mask the problem according to others on this page. Good luck, it's a great car without the shimmy. Let us know how things go.
