Removal of Center Console for Stereo Install
Anyone have any experience taking apart the center console for installation of a new head unit? I'm planning on doing this soon, so any tips and especially pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Basically here's how. I'm not responsible for any damage you may cause to your vehicle. I've taken mine apart a few times without incident, its pretty easy.
1. Unscrew, and remove the top of the shifter.
2. Gently pop up the trim piece around the shifter, unbutton the boot.
3. Unplug the harness to the emergecny lights button. Then remove the trim piece.
4. Remove 2 screws (phillips head) at the base of the vertical cover over the cd/tape area. Do not drop the screws or you'll curse up a storm trying to get them out of the base of the center console area.
5. Pry the cover off gently and from both sides at the same time. Start at the bottom and work your way up.
6. Unplug the electrical connector at the top left side, and remove cover.
That should get the cover off so you can install your stereo.
