Nismo, have you considered taking your grille to get professionally painted to match? Thats what I really wanted from the start, but I got lazy and bought a chrome one. I mean I like it, but I have the OEM in my closet and If I knew the pro job is durable, I might do it. I havent got any feedback on whether or not professionally painted grilles chip. If it was as durable as the front bumper that would be fantastic, but im skeptical.

no wind noise here either. wind should cut right thru the mesh with no sound. Just like Deus said!

I've got the billet grill and it causes wind noise between 45 and 55. I only hear it if the radio is turned off.

I like the oem as is. It would take a lot of prep work to get it done right and you still risk chipping. If Strada would make the chrome w/ logo and hide the vertical bars I would get that. If not, one like KITT but w/ a logo.

but that would be after my warranty and if oem got bad or I needed a change.

I got the billet grill and have no noise issues. Love that grill. Best one out there in my opinion and made real well.

wassup everybody. i've been lurking around the site for a few weeks and finally decided to post. just bought a 2k4 Maxima a few weeks ago.

anyway one of the first mods i picked up is the streetscene grille. i plan to have it painted black though.. my question is does the emblem on the OEM grill come off easily or will i have to order me a new one?..

thx all

better/easier to order a new one. they are sometimes hard to find though. i think some pried theirs off. I suggest black powdercoating the grille.

this look and the potential Strada (if changed) are my top 2 choices if I ever need a grille.
welcome

I took mine off the stock grill very easily. Came right off. You can reuse it. You may need a little tape unless it comes off clean like mine did. Try it first. Alot cheaper than getting a new one from the dealer. Congrats on the new Max.
