HID quick question

Has anyone actually replaced their Halogens with stock nissan HID's? I might be getting my hands on some and I just wanted to know if they will even be compatible before i went thru the trouble (long story) or if i would have to do any extra wiring. From what ive read so far, i would just replace the entire assembly and it should be plug and play.. Has anyone acutally made the conversion?

mmotown, pics look great.

although the question asked was replaceing the entire stock head light with a HID headlight, no retrofitting, just plug and play.

You cant without alittle modifications to the cap and the aluminum piece for where the bulb is inserted( forgot the name) from what I can see, everything else is just plug in play. A friend and I were going to install them and took some pix, however we didnt get a chance to finish it since it started raining hard. We were going to continue the following day and then I got rear ended that day. So asoon as i get my car back from the shop we will continue the work. Here are some pictures that I took.

There you can see the small hole we needed to make on the cap, dont worry it will be sealed.

I will post more pix once I am done installing everything.
thx for reading
