I was on the way to pick up my buddy to go to Boxing tonight, when at the intersection sat an FHP(FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL) wainting for the light to change for him to go. As soon as I get my green(his red) I drive off not paying much attention to him, as soon as I cross he flips the lights and pulls me over. I knew what it was.
4% tints on the windows! BUSTED!! first time ever!!
Well I have a ticket for $90 for illegal film. SUCKS!
As he wrote the ticket he gave me PROPS on my MAX, guess he just wanted to see the Max, but then decided to give me a ticket. by the FHP

I have 15% on all windows except front windshield which is 50% all the way down. I've never had any trouble. In fact when I was sideswiped by the 18 wheeler a couple months ago, the police that showed up didn't say anything about it.

new jersey cops are itches when it coems to tints, i got a ticket for 35% in bright daylight...its still see-through!

I thought FLA. didn't care about tint either. Well at least you can tint all your windows. Up here in Jerz they only let you tint the back windows. So it looks like you are driving a limo.

i mean rolling the window works during the summer, but in the winter, they gonna think why you driving with the window down at 15F at night. but yea i see car with tints around here, i guess it depends how much theyre behind their quota, because ive driven by many cops without getting pulled over, but i did get caught once. most of the time they dont care.

I have 20% on all my windows. I was stopped by a capitol police officer and he put his tint meter onto my windows and got a 15% reading. If you are rolling with 4% you are likely at about -1% by the reading I got. The cop told me most windows are 94-95% so adding tint will be darker than the tint's percentage. He just gave me a verbal warning and let me go. One ? why in the world do you have 4% on your windows. It's hard enough for me to see out at night with 20. I have heard of some cops who make people take off the tint on the spot.

That was 4% with the meter. I thought i had 5% tints. I had a 35% on the front windshield, that i had to remove on the side of the highway by an FHP. Funny thing is, that cop didnt give me crap about my 5% tints on that stop. Only my front windshield. No ticket warning only. I had double limo on my Ram and never had an issue. Its to damn hot to have light tints here.
I will pay the fine and keep them on the car.

Yeah, they usually dont bother you down here in FLA. It gets so hot that I guess they just let it slide, but occasionally you get one or two who has something to say about it.
