Anyone ever put strobes in???

Hey guys...
I'm looking to put hide-a-way strobes into my 04 max. I would like to put 2 in the front, 2 in the back...

I figured out so far that I could pop 1 each into the "DRL" section of the headlights.

(I still need to figure out how to get the headlights out... I have to take off the bumper?)

But does anyone know what the back of the rear lights looks like? Is there a section behind the reflector for a bulb or is that area flat?

So has anyone done this?????

Thanks

ALL of your questions (strobes, taking out headlights, rear lamps) have been answered in different threads and in the stickies. Seek, and ye shall find.

Right now I have an LED Dash Light... 2 LED's going in the grill next week, 2 LED's going on the rear license plate...

I'll put the 2 strobes in the DRL slots.... it does not look like the rear can take a strobe, so I'll probably end up just making the brake lights alternate with the reverse lights....

And I'm not talking cheepy Pep boys led's here... Emergency Grade
Check the video: http://www.sirennet.com/newwhtisuled.html

Vehicle is going to be used as a POV & FD responder...

Those would get you arrested around here...

Even FD responders get their lights from the FD... you can't just grab a set of strobes and put them in your car. Well you could, you just can't turn them on...

NICE!!! I wish I was able to put them on my ride here......

I could for shows but on street use it would be unethical to flash it at people for no reason.

Still thats a whicked concept. When your done throw up some vids.
Take Care,

dont drill into the bottom third brake light, if you do you will break the reflector. I learned from experience. there was a thread on this with pictures posted on my "accident" search for it.

hmmm... those cornering lights would be sweet too.... I'll have to see how deep they are to handle a full strobe...

Thanks!

oh they can handle them, trust me...i have the long strobes in there as well as the ones on the reverse light but the ones on the reverse light housing, got moved and the wire that runs from one end to the other is covering part of the stobe so from some angles the rear strobes are not as bright as they should be but they will move around again and be shinny again...lol

no, i havent tried getting video but i did try to get some shots a while back and i guess the strobes flash to quickly or what but neither the strober nor the underbody kit came out in any of the 20+pics i try to get.... it looks pretty cool in person though..

the underbody kit is multicolor led, red, blue, green, purple, white, yellow umm i am missing one..ummm... they are 7 colors in total and the flashing patterns are steady on, musci interface, front to back, back to from, surround left to right, surround right to left, flashing, center to out, out to center... i think thats all, the speed for all the flashing pattenrs can be adjusted and also the brightness of the color can be adjusted. the control module has leds that display the color, flashing pattern, speed and brightness in the module itself so u dont have to guess what it looks like... it is a pretty cool kit...i love it... FYI is made by streetglow...
