I didn't order then with the LEDs, they actually just came in this week. That's a project that I will tackle when it gets warmer outside.

For those of you that purchased this bulb, how long did it take you to get it? I placed an order on 2/14 and paypal already too my money, but I still have yet to hear from autolumination.com. No email confirmation of any kind, no one picked up the phone when I called, and no email responded. I would think if they at least email you some kind of confirmatio of the order being placed ....but nothing......bad customer service.....if I don't get a response this week, i m going to dispute the charge.....

I have ordered a lot of stuff from them and I have always had excellent service from them, not sure what's going on. I wouldn't worry about being ripped off though, they'll come around.

They finally wrote back but it's by far the worst customer service I've experienced....no common customer service courtesy what so ever.....they say they couldn't ship my order because paypal fund did not clear when it clearly did. I even called up paypal to double check and paypal had confirmed that it did cleared. After an hour of looking back and forth paypal finally found out why autolumination wasn't getting my money.....the seller cancelled my order......and yet they were writting in the email as if I was an idiot......Maybe you got good service becuase you buy a lot from them.....but that's one place I will never shop again......BUYERS BEAWARE!!

That sucks man sorry to hear that. Sounds more like a misunderstanding than courtesy, unless of course they were rude to you then that's another story.
You can always go to ebay or here: www.superbrightleds.com

I am waiting on the license plates lights from them because the 2 that I bought started burning out and flickering...they said that they should be getting a re-designed version soon, so I will get 2 new ones free of charge...lets see how that turns out. Anyways, when a bulb that costs $10 a piece, you would expect all the kinks to be worked out...

Hey guys, J's sticky thread on the install doesn't work for me. Does anyone have an updated thread link? This simple mod is awesome but I'd like to see some installation pics if possible.

They don't contrast with each other that well in person, but it's still better than the pure amber bulbs that come OEM.

They aren't hard at all, it's just finding an area to mount them that does not come in contact with any plastic because they heat up quickly and have been known to burn through the housings...

jsmith installed his in his rear tail-lights and found a metal area to mount them, but when I searched for a metal area in the head-light area...I would have to extend the wires quite a bit to actually mount them somewhere. I ended up not installing them because I would rather have a faster blinking light rather than having the resistor burn through something.

All that they do is fix that "fast" blink that is caused by the LED's...so yes, they are "optional" if you do not mind the fast blink.

*If you would like, I can sell you both of mine and a printout of the installation for $15 shipped w/PayPal fees included.* PM me for more info.

LOL Thanks Prjt but I mean install pics as in "pictures while installing them, where, how, close-up's, etc." but no biggie, it doesn't appear to be rocket science. And yeah I agree with you, I want to get this done to ditch the amber while driving/parking lights are on.

If you have taken off your bumper/head-lights before, then this should not be a problem for you.

It's a simple switch of the bulbs, but make sure to have as little contact with the bulbs themselves and to be gentle with them.

The fit will be extremely tight, but with a little patience and care, they will wiggle in. It may pop out of the socket and fall into the housing, but don't worry, just shake the end of that ***** out, and pull it out!

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=336403

Then it's five simple 10mm, or 12mm bolts that hold the head-light in

I will admit that I'm kind of nervous about doing this... I have never messed with my car and stuff like that and I know it's time to learn things about it, I just dont wanna mess it up or the equipment that I'm putting on/in it. So I can understand why soo many people post they arent too sure about alot of the things many people are doing. But that is what you have to do when you want to be different... you gotta work and conceptualize the final product. Coming up I plan on changing the headlights to Halo lights, the switchbacks, front bottom fogs in place of the cornering lights, 07 spoiler, dome, license plate, and side door light upgrades... All that shyt with the lights makes me nervous but I'm sooooo ready!

Ok I know this is an old thread but I'm new to all this so please pardon me.
Bottom line: are these plug and play? Can I take out the headlight console and take out the indicators there and simply put in these new LED's? I have read these posts but I am still a little confused. Thanks for the help!

Wow over two years old, but yes they are plug and play but you will need to add resistors if you don't want the fast blink...

Will these work with the 08 lights? they are a different design / style all together with them having a 'cornering' light. I'd also like to know if you need a ohm resistor with the new LED tail lights to equal out the blinker. I don't want to have the rear blinking then the front blinking then the rear again, etc, etc, etc. I'd definitely get the 36 tower of amber LED's (PIC on first page) for my turn signals, and maybe the 'white' ones for my cornering light. (the cornering light stays on constant) while the blinker is on and until it (blinker) goes off.

Yes they will, the lights are the same. The cornering light has nothing to do with it. You don't need resistors with just the new tails, they have them built in. But if you add the switchbacks then you will need 6ohm resistors in the front. And this thread is talking about "switchbacks" if you get the amber then they will only be amber...
