Shimmy Fixed & Bluetooth & Grinding Acceleration Noise
Shimmy Fixed & Bluetooth & Grinding Acceleration Noise
Whoever else had that Shimmy from their 04-06 Max's, take it right into Nissan. They will fix the problem for you. I can't believe they actually fixed it. Also bring your Maxima's in for a few recalls. When I brought it in, they fixed the sunroof, and two recalls regarding the power seats, and one other recall that stopped the grinding nose when accelerating.
Anyone know where to get aftermarket Bluetooth for the Maxima? My loaded SE never came with it (I'm pissed).
Thanks.

Well, I have no idea what they did to fix the grinding acceleration noise. However, they changed the front brake pads and resurfaced the rotors. They charged me a little bit (unfortunately), but it was worth it. Went 80 on the highway and hit the brakes, and no shake. But there are recalls with the seats.
Just call your Nissan dealer and ask them about the recalls for the Maxima and if you want bring it in and see if they can fix that annoying shimmy. I couldn't even do 40 and hit the brakes without the shimmy.

The shimmy doesn't come when you apply the brakes the wheel shakes around 45-60 also beware because mine was fixed to and it came back
and this is not just an 04 issue 04-06 has shimmy to.my 04 shimmys
very little this is after they replaced two tiers balance and rotors
i will be doing the TSB on mine soon

Not sure what you mean but it sound like your rotors were warped that's why the wheel was shaking when you applied the brakes the shimmy that i no
is when the steering wheel shakes around 45-60, and it's not just and 04
issue - 04-06 has the same problem
beware it's none to come back
