Removing Stock Intake

I was just wondering..

How do you remove the front piece of the stock intake? Me and my friend tried doing it and had no idea how to..his was easy removing his on his 01. I know you shouldn't do it for an extended period of time (more than 10 minutes or so), and I just want to see how it roars and drives for a few minutes without the front piece like with my friends 01. His is pretty quiet on a rev with the piece in there, and it roars like a beast (3.0 L) when its not.

Well, just wanted to test it before Fujita CAI comes..pleasee help me if you can of course.

But, how do you do it? You "unclip" the two clips...then what? I dont want to take the entire thing off, just the front part.

What you can do is remove the piece thats right over the radiator like i did. u just remove the plastic tabs and it comes right off. its probably not as loud as it will be with your Fujita, but it's a lot safer than running ur car wiithout the filter.

Are you tying to remove the peace ontop of the radiator, flat head screw driver and pry up on the plastic clips comes out real easy, then you just got to wiggle and tug/pull.

When your Fujita comes, I'll give you some tips on making the install easier and faster
