Stock Gear Shift ****

Hi All,

Does anyone no where I can get the silver tube that holds the gear
shift **** on? I like the look of the stock ****, and do not want to
go aftermarket. I need the Silver tube thats is below the **** as well
as a new spring to hold it all together.

Any help, as well as a part # would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

MC

hey, i plan on getting a new momo shift **** next week. If you dont find one by then, i can sell you my whole shift **** assembly.

I know you just need the silver tube, but if sell you the tube, then i have no use for the rest of the ****.... so ummm yeah!

What kind you get? I'm now looking around to replace mine (since the bottom silver thing broke). Having a hard time figuring out what to get and what the hell the reverse lock thing is. I can take the **** off my automatic and it doesnt look like it needs anything special. Any advise?

Everyone with a non-stock ****, show off your ****! HaHaHa

Ramberg - Nice setup. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I take it there is nothing special about your Gernade ****. By that I mean it just slides on, you bolted on and thats it. Any idea what the reverse lock is? I'm under the impression that any **** would work for us (assuming it fits). Thanks.

Face Plate Below Shift **** and Tube...

Since were on the topic or the general region of the shift ****...Is there a crome plate you can get to replace the silver plate below the shift **** where it shows the gears? Just curious...

There are "sticker" overlays for that part and the vast majority of the interior. Let me see if I can find any, not remembering the name.

They are indeed called interior overlays or dash kits, prices vary. Here's a few sights so you can get an idea:

If you have an automatic trans (judging if you have the SL YOU DO) then you don't have a reverse lockout collar. Thats only for us 6speed owners....they put a ring on the shaft of the stick shifter that prevents you from slamming your max in reverse instead of 6th gear. You pull the ring up and that allows you into reverse. Hope this helps

Very much so, thanks. Guess I could shove a tennis ball on there and get the same results.

Thanks. Yes any aftermarket shift **** will fit. They all come with different size plastic pieces that go on the shaft.

Anyone have a source for a nice looking 6 speed manual shift ****. I want to retain the OEM lockout feature. No idea where to get one.

I got mine from Cardomain, RAZO95 380 Grams. I love it and it maches the interior.

First two on that page. Plus it feels so smooth cause of the extra weight,

Ramberg...I'm with you on this...Digital Fish had almost the same comment on my thread...

"it's hard posting comments about nothing to get 15...."

I think he is attempting to boost out of "Newbie" status by posting useless posts...my opinion, and I'm sure yours is...if someone does not have something constructive...then don't waste the electrons on the Maxima.org forum.
