A word of suggestion. Do it yourself. I wish i had. Granted everything in my car works, and works well, but my screen isn't installed the way Unmatched is. My ghetto *** shop installed it kind of sitting in the opening rather then mounted inside it. I gotta take some pictures. Now that it isn't 5 degrees outside maybe my camera lens won't fog as soon as i take it outside

I always say "Do it yourself".
I just upgraded my system a little. I added a Sprint U720 wireless card to the equation and I'm loving every minute of it (pretty fast). Now I don't have to bother connecting my cell phone or dropping a connection when a call comes through. I now have "always on" Internet connection and I'm finally able to stream t.v and internet radio the way it's suppose to be (gotta have my N.Y KTU).

Now the only thing left to do is add a second HD. I currently have
8000 mp3's
40 burned DVD's (shrunk to 700 megs each)
Prison Break (season 1 and 2)
My name is Earl (season 1 and 2)
800 game roms

Also, I upgraded all my cables so now my XM sounds crystal clear

WARNING: Once you install a pc you will never be done adding to it.

Awesome man. I'm still a little peeved at the quality of XM but i don't think its the cables, i think its the retarted amount of compression they do.

On another note anyone have any picture writeup's showing how to get the dash apart? Beings its starting to get warmer out (here and there) i want to rip the dash apart and get my screen mounted right.

Thanks!!

I think there's a sticky on this board that does a pretty good job. Once you remove the shifter plate and **** it's really very easy. My advise to you is have the following items ready before you do the install.

Dremel (you'll need to cut the upper part of the metal bracket that holds the radio unit in place so it doesn't rub against the monitor housing)

JB Weld (This is what I used to mount the display to the center bezel. It's been on for over a year without moving)

Thanks i'll try to find the thread.

Sweet. I have both of those in my garage right now.

This weekend i'm going to have to move my PC. I have it mounted to the back of the passenger rear seat and i guess its putting too much stress on the VGA cable because at times the display will get a purple hue to it. If i fold my seat down it never occurs. I've tried everything so i'm throwing my hands up and just remounting the pc to the floor of the trunk.

I say don't even bother painting. Mine is the same way and once installed the difference in color is very small

Hey guys, reviving a dead horse!! Yay!!

Anyhow, i mounted my PC and XM unit to the back of the rear seats. Everything peachy. But now i just bought one of these boxes off the ebay and obviously it butts up against the rear seats.

So anyhow, anyone mount their PC's anywhere off the floor and where? I don't want to just start driving self tappers into the sides of the trunk without knowing whats back there

Thanks!

I had the same problem with my amps when I got that box. I ended up cutting a pieces of wood and mounting the amps in the pockets in the rear of the trunk.
