Does anyone else experience this?
Ladies and Gents,
Does it feel to you sometimes that your max has its days? What I mean by that is one day the pick up and acceleration would be quick and responsive and another day it would be sluggish and slow. Cuz i dont know if its just in my head but my car seemed awfully slow yesterday then it did this mornign. Same gas in the tank, same road I took, and it was about the same temperature outside. SO did anyone else experience this?

I've been visiting the in-laws a few times a year. Quite a few times I filled up at a nearby 76 or Mobil, my Max would be so sluggist right afterward. It felt like turbo lag and even when it picked up it's trying hard to go fast. So I don't fill up at those two stations anymore. I normally fill up at Chevron and Shell stations. My Max always gives me the monster torque steer anytime.
(I'm using premium all the times).
There was even a 76 station near my house that would throw a SES in my Pathfinder from time to time. I just avoid that station and no issue again.

The weather also effects the performance of the car...the colder/less humidity, the more go you get, but also the more gas you **** away! Your driving habits also set "standards" for the ECU, and if you drive slow/normal for a while, then it has learned to process like that, so when you try to go all out and fly then it'll be a little slow. So unless you fly all the time, expect the "on and off" days.

A higher % of Ethanol reduces performance 2-4%. Altitude also but the ECU should compensate. I am getting much better performance during the winter. Humidity is bad for performance.
If the engine detects knocking, it will back the timing for a short while. That will reduce power. Not all premium are created equal.
The throttle learning will give you either a linear or a more aggressive/sensitive throttle response. That could throw you off if you drive like a grandpa for a few hours and then more aggressively just after.
