Hardwire for radar

I am going to hardwire my radar this weekend and was curious trim plates by the windshield come out.

Do they just pull out like my 2000 did?

Thanks in advance.

Just a suggestion, It seems like your mounting your radar down on your windshield. I would recommend Mounting it in the center of the windshield right below the rear view mirror, Because thats where my V1 is. It gives optimal range. But thats just my $0.02

I am going to run the wire along the top of the winshield and bring it down by the rear view mirror ( to the left). If I put it right below the mirror, does it restrict your vision?

Also, do you know if the trim panels just unsnap like the older models?

Thanks for the advice.

I got mine installed, But to me it doesn't bother me but I have the concealed display so the whole display is brought down to the little compartment below the climate control.

I just did mine above the sunglass holder/map light. You can get the power there and don't have to run wire all over the dash and windshield. It's constant but turns off after 15 minutes.
