Mine fits snuggly in the existing hole. I believe I actually stuck a beer coozy in the bottom side. It does not move. Stick the screen down there and replace the trim. It's that easy. Be careful with the wire tape though...

BTW, this would only take a few minutes for you to do... Save some $$$

you can also you velcro straps on the inside to keep the screen from moving around.

I used a piece of wood as shim on the top side of the screen, been fine for almost 3 years. As for the top I used adhesive and stuck the screen to the dash piece itself for a snug fit...
(oh and if your installer is asking you these types of questions, I'd go somewhere else!!)

Like J said, if an installer AT A SHOP ask how to mount something, go somewhere else. A good place won't use duct tape or any tape, mounting brackets aren't difficult to make.

Our point is, that a good installer will find a way to mount it (obviously without duct tape) without having to ask...that's all.

I agree... both places i have gone to only want to do a fiberglass install..say it will look the best... but its very pricey to do custom work...

Im not looking for show stopping standards..just clean w/out hurting the wallet
