it will go away in a week.... or unplug your battery and leave the car door open in order for the 15 minutes. then connect the battery.

run roof??? is that sun roof???

Just disconnect your battery...

Make sure its pushed to the side not touching any metal...

Go in hte car and turn the car to the "ON" position and hold it there for 15 seconds... Like u would be trying to turn the car on...

Once you have done this for around 20 seconds or so... get out then connect the Pos battery cable...

This should reset it

Yes, you will.

Fastmax05,
If you fiddle with the battery at all, as far as connecting and disconnecting, your sunroof switch will only operate at less-than-half opening.

Your manual tells you how to. I can't remember how, but I do know it was something really simple. Such as 'open all the way, close and open again'....some simple process.

Shouldn't the rule is to disconnect the Negative cable 1st. That way it (and your tool) can touch anything (all ground except the Positive terminal) without blowing up your car.

Here's the ECU reset info, the timing of each step is critical, some members have reported they had to repeat 4 times or more before they got it right. Also at he bottom is a link to a another reset, but it appears to be the same steps, save for future use.

------ECU reset------
Timing is extremely critical. If it is NOT DONE within the specify time, the ECU will not reset and the Check Engine Light (CEL) will continue to remain ON.
A stop watch or an analog clock with a second’s needle will be useful.

Operations Procedures

1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5. Wait about 10 second.
6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7. Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone.

If the CEL light continues to remain ON, repeat the above steps. Timing is EXTREMELY critical to resetting the ECU.

Driving to autozone is a lot easier than the scientific method of reprogramming that Nissan came up with... I had the same problem not that long ago
