SAFCII installed

Vipervadim from nycmaximas installed my SAFCII. Hopefully I will have the car tuned while I am in Florida.

Awesome. Try and get some runfiles when you do in fact 'tune'.

I had a question for you sir.

If I remember correctly, you said the Technosquare flash only raises the RPM redline.

If I was to do headers, Y-pipe, Intake, Exhaust and such, would it benefit me to do the SAFC to tune the car or wait until after the Technosquare? Is the reflash even worth it? I'm guessing that the SAFC cannot raise the limiter.

If someone was going to do Nitrous, would they even want the reflash, or just the SAFC?

I'm sorry to ask these questions, but I know you know what your talking about.

Appreciate the response,
Joshua

Ill take a stab and dont know if IM right TS can adjust you a/f but they want you to have a dyno so they have something to go by and then they go by other peoples mods. it would be a hit or miss. I think thats why they want you to maybe do TS and then have a way to further adjust your a/f. Ofcourese Ill get corrected by the man but wnated to see if Im right.

The L-spec raises the rev limiter. The F-spec does that and more.

True.

F-spec + N2O = re: timing advance.

I didn’t give them an AFR readout/dyno/ or current mod list, and still got a flat 13.0 AFR.

Getting a TS full flash and an AFC is semi redundant/expensive. Spend the money elsewhere such as an EU/UTEC.

So which one would you recommend doing?

I haven't thought about it much lately since I already have an F-spec and SAFCII.

I would have to do more research in order to better answer that question.

IIRC, I think he has some base #'s. So, then you mean base for the day (i.e. tuning session). :

Is the EU gonna play well with our 6th gens since?? Since I have the TS flash I was thinking of the EU but didn't know how well it would work the 6th gen so I was going to do an SAFC. I want to use the EU after the cattman headers come out. Will there still need to be some fuel correction after the headers are installed for those of us that have the TS Full spec flash?

Can someone define for me:

L-spec
F-spec
EU
U-Tech

Hah, sorry!

And again, if I'm planning on Nitrous next year, makes more sense to do...which of these?

And thanks for your reply and your time NmexMax.

Research has brought me some answers:

"If you want to keep the tuning of SAFC, we offer Limited Spec Flash.
We don't touch the fuel map, timing map, and ICT map but you can get all
other feature such as REV, Speed and throttle re-map.
Price is $345."

I'm guessing "f-spec" is full flash, which modifies everything listed that l-spec does not.

So, EU and Utech is left - would I still need the SAFC with these...and is this all silly with a 4AT? Is the 4AT that much slower?

Bah!

I have a 4AT, so if it's silly, so be it .

No, the EU/UTEC will shoot the SAFCII clear out of the water. I don't feel like explaining what they do here, so I will suggest you do some further research. I would start in the AM forum here.

And check our VQ related sites.

I am seriously considering the UTEC since it does so much. I have TS reflash, probably the Fspec and I have added an intake manifold and spacer. Im sure Im running too lean. I wish I knew how to tune the car. I am going to research more to learn about these amazing devices before I drop the $7-800 for a UTEC.

Hey Rams, Your DVD player... where is the screen for you to watch the movies? Did you put it at the top of the dash and move your OEM orange screen down to the bottom but leave the door on?

I have a screen in the driver's side visor and in the headrests of the front seats. My wife didn't want to lose the mirror in her visor. I can't find a picture of the visor screen.

I was supposed to get the car tuned and dynoed this week but the shop is busy. Hopefully they will do it next week or I will have to find another place.
