Installing the Unorthodox UDP!?
Ultra SC is lighter than the stock by a few pounds. Its probably only ounces heavier than the UDP version.
I am running the SC version. Is there any difference in whp gain? Only the dyno knows, and as far as I know, no one has spent the money to do a before/after on their pulley swaps.

projmax - yup, that is why i want it.
apollos2 - i see you have the wieght of the sc pulley. i pretty sure your right; the difference in weight, s vs sc is very small.
vigilantemax - did you by chance measure the s pulley? the fact that it's aluminum would tell me the weight between both would be very small.
i know we have pretty good size alternators but just the gain from the lightwieght factor [the decrease in rotational mass] is good enough for me. maybe im a bit paranoid with having a system even though i have a cap with it, lol.

VigilanteMax: did you happen to weigh that UDP pulley? I posted a pick of a UDP vs Stock diameter on page 1. I am guessing the big difference, if it's even noticable would be the the diameter, not the weight.
Jimmy, there really isn't a downside to the UDP unless you're running 1000's of watts and the A/C, all the time at the same time. If I had it to do again, I probably would have went UDP but I was like eK9aT10pSi, because I know I was upgrading my stereo eventually and I do use my A/C a lot, plus I was just running out of money at the time. Belts, more install etc, I just didn't want to get into it. I've never read of anyone really having UDP problems. Also never seen anyone doing before and after dynos, so we may really never know the true whp gains.

Didnt weigh it. Was too anxious to put it on my car. the shipping weight for most companies is ~1lb difference, but it may not be that much. Changing the belts is not that big of a deal to me and install was done myself.
If I can find a dyno shop in Houston,TX I would be happy to do a before and after. I'll be purchasing my unorthodox udp in june or july. I'll put this thread in my "favorites" and post my findings.
I've already purchased the belts suggested by Chernmax. I did order the UDP about 2 months ago but it was on back order and I wanted to get other items so I cancelled and bought the magnaflow 14807's.
I'll be sure to "get the files" from the dyno shop to post.
Kevin
PS. Even though I don't want that d**n stimulus check I'll be dropping it in my car.
