I doubt they'd give out too much pertinent info but 3 or 4 customers with a verified dyno increase would be enough to sell me. They don't even mention a guesstimated power increase on the TS website.

I did not know the ECU would react to the larger injectors that way but it seems risky to tune it with that method. Pulling fuel and adding timing etc. As long as the A/F looks good then so be it. I don't think Phillip is using that approach however.

I'm not talking about the actual programming data, I'm talking about actual data files that state, yes, this parameter which will affect performance has changed.

Kinda like this this: http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...79&postcount=6

That's not exactly how it works, but you're catching on.

I never said he was, I did state, however, that the SAFCII CAN be used as such a tool.

I understand how it works, but I didn't feel it was necessary to type it all from the thread you linked.

ECU wont react to larger injectors when WOT, only run richer. Otherwise, no matter what size the injector (within reason), @ part throttle etc, the ECU will keep close to stoich, but the STFT & LTFT's will be larger (greater correction % value)

Tranny coolers rule! BACK ON TOPIC

Don't some of the older Max's have them factory?

All automatic Maximas (and almost all automatic cars overall) have a trans cooler from the factory, built into the rad.

As far as an additional external one, no idea.

I was the member that initially e-mailed Osiris and I just e-mailed them again yesterday about any progress or if they finally want me to send my ECU for testing...

That full tunable version of Osiris sounds good. But if I can get a UTEC for cheaper than Osiris I'm going that way.

5AT has a tranny cooler build into the radiator. Connections are on driver side.

Under the oil filter is another cooler hooked up to the rad. The power steering is also cooled. Connections on the passenger side of the rad.

Oil cooler is not needed but a tranny cooler can extend the life of your tranny greatly. Auto tranny owners should consider this 40 dollar mod.

Just got an e-mail back from them pretty much saying they've been busy with other projects and to get back to them in 4-6 weeks.

Cool I'll keep my options open. Still kinda leaning towards the UTEC.
