Over 50k on the MAX... Help!

it's been a good experience so far with the MAX. Currently have 51k miles on the MAX and need to do some Maintenance on it. Up to this day I have only done oil change and brakes on the car..
I have gone on line and looked up what is recommended for the 52500 miles. This is the list I got. If you guys have any info that can help me on what to do or not to do from the list or if I need to add something please let me know. I am looking to get this done with in the next week or so..
:Again thanks for reading...

1. Replace automatic transmission fluid
2. Replace differential oil (limited-slip, conventional)
3. Replace timing belt
4. Replace water pump
5. Replace limited-slip differential oil
6. Replace radiator cap
7. Replace radiator hoses
8. Replace engine coolant/flush system
9. Replace engine drive belts
10. Replace free-running hub grease
11. Replace fuel filter
12. Replace in-cabin microfilter
13. Replace spark plugs
14. Replace engine air filter

Timing belt
Water Pump
Radiator Cap
Spark Plugs

We don't have timing belts. Check a Nissan site, not just any old site. Most of those items should be inspected, not changed @ that interval.

Jesus, change your source of information.

forget about all this 50k tune up ****. your are driving a nissan maxima and not a freaking Kia. just keep changing the oil, put good gas in the car and warm up your car in the morning, your car would last forever.

we should go around asking this to see how many would scam us. A good way to find a new mechanic. Tranny is an actual possibility. Set for 60k and 30k if you're ****.

Actually, I've had to have the drivers' side window track lubed a few times in my '03. The motor is really, really weak. Not sure if that's a Nissan thing, or Maxima thing, etc..

But about once every couple years it will start getting really, really slow and making nasty noises. I pay the Nissan dealer 30-40 bucks and it's as good as new. Whatever.

I was told by the local Nissan dealer the NGK plugs in our cars don't need to be replaced until over 200,000kms or about 125k miles. First I've heard of it, anyone else?

It’s been debated 10-fold. But yeah, seems as if 100k is the interval these days.

I am the member of numerous automotive forums, and in the process of helping a friend I ran across this post.

I have only seen this level of arrogance, cockiness, and overall bad attitude to a simple maintenance question on Honda websites.

Many of you are advising that he ignore manufacturer recommended service intervals. Talk about bad advice and a worthless waste of cyberspace.

If you think that because you have a Nissan that you don't need to maintain it, I feel sorry for the next owner.

I have 53k on my car when I brought my car into Nissan for the 30k service they did as listed:

Tune-up engine ( check to make sure it's running at factory specs)
Replace air filter ( I have a CAI so no filter )
Replace fuel injector filter ( 6th gens is located in gas tank )
oil & filter change
Lube steering and suspension
Check and top off all fluids
Inspect and adjust belts ( had my belts replaced at 52k )
Flush cooling system
Inspect hoses
Inspect brakes ( had pads, rotors and fluid replaced at 47k )
Adjust parking brake
Rotate & Balance tires
Make sure all lights work
Inspect exhaust
Trans service
Replace in-cabin filter
Replace wiper blades
Check AC system
Clean engine, wash and vacuum

I'll bring my car back when I hit 60k for the 60k service which is the same service as 30k, I don't believe in the theory that because it's whatever it does not need maintenance.

Stop living in the past and believing stuff you read, I've removed plugs at way over 100k and they come out just as easy as they go in, remember they are made to go the distance

Welcome sad to read many replies about how owners neglect maintenance just because, but it's no different then with other makes and models, I've gone used car shopping and it's always impressive to see cars with 100k and the owners have nothing but oil change records and all other fluids are original kinda like guys who go to the gym and do chest and arms and nothing else

The only thing I would do is change transmission oil if you haven't yet done so, and the same for incabin air filter (do it yourself there's a thread on it) I am going to assume you have been changing engine oil every 3-5k miles. You can always check brakes, fluid levels etc but nothing else to change unless you are having issues.

They list the general maintenance items for all Nissan vehicles, thats Pathfinders, Armadas and the Atimas, Maximas etc..

Everything the Maxima needs is about 300-400 dollars
