I need some serious help... pretty frustrated

I bought 6k HID conversion kit. Me and my Buddy took the bumper down removed the oem headlights and everythin. We pluged the HID cable to the battery, ground the black, hook the cables to the balasts, and put in the bulbs in. But for some reason the bulbs will not turn on. You guys had any problem with the bulbs not turning ON?

Plz help. it is very frustrating
thx

I would have unhooked the battery first...

Check the fuse panel?

I mean before I dropped the bumper and messed with the lights I would have disconnected the battery.

Since you asked, im assuming you didn't.

You may have arced a wire somewhere or who knows what. Pull the fuse panel off and find the headlight fuse. You might get lucky.

Good luck...

I grounded the black cable instead of hooking it to the battery(negative). should i try hooking it to the battery this time instead of grounding it?

I just had 4300k HID kit installed with no problems. What I can tell you from experience after installing many of these kits on cars is that it is simply a trial and error game.

I would suggest just trying plug and play and don't hook up the kit to the battery at all to see if it works that way.

1) Check all connections and double check.
2) Make sure ground is a good one.
3) Last resort you will need to possibly buy another kit and test a different bulb.

Pull it out and test it on the battery terminals.
