Whining pulley

Hey, when I start the car cold I hear a slight whining sound coming from the belt area, and it eventually stops a few minutes later. Not a belt slipping sound though. Is there a pulley that is known to fail?

Any clues?

Thx

Redls - Kryogen told me that his search button is disabled.... so that may be something the mods will probably look into as it must be terrible to not have a seach button....

I have a weird rattle at start up when I pull/drive away, only last about 30 seconds if that and sounds like a heat shield, but Im not gonna sweat it cause I've gone through enough underpasses at WOT to hear nothing but a *****ing Fujita intake screaming

Whine = device or pully bearing failing.

Do the screwdriver to the ear test to find the source.
I'd start looking at the alternator.

I guess something is failing because that's a weird whine, like a failing bearing or something.

I'm bringing the car to the dealership to have the exhaust braket fixed so ill tell them to have a look.

Sure seems like you have alot of problems with your car. Do you have a cot or hot line at the dealership?
