How does this 6th Generation Maxima compare to all other forums?
I have been a member of this forum for about 4 years now. I have also been members of other car forums and, more recently, a couple of Honda Nighthawk motorcycle forums. I find that this forum here, the 6th Generation Maxima forum on maxima.org i the best forum I have experienced. I like it here because most of the time, members are good to each other, there is a plethora of information on our cars, and there is a nice core of guys ready to give out good advice. I wondered what everyone thinks about this topic.
Mods: In case ur inclined to move this thread to some dungeon where it will never be seen again, this topic is specific to the 6th Generation forum, not maxima.org in general. Therefore, this is the proper forum (since this forum is the topic of the thread).

This is the best forum on the net by far. I have every available resource at my fingertips and don't really have to stray far from the sight for answers to any of my questions. I also enjoy helping out others when I can too.
This forum is OK but I have found that this:
http://www.bowlingcommunity.com/
Forum is by far superior in every aspect. Turkey's all day loooooongg!!! lol
Here's a great very informative thread "Can the ball hook with the thumb still inside it?" http://www.bowlingcommunity.com/b/ub...html#Post77086
(Disclaimer: Not meant to offend any Maxima.org bowlers....

Oh wait seriously...
Yes this site has been the most informative and educational by far. I just find sometimes that the members can be a bit to "cool" and rude, especially to someone new who is just trying to learn. And since the update, alot of the how to's etc...are hard or impossible to find (yes even with the "old" vs show" option)
Other than that, good times...

i agree with J...this site is informative & helpful...but i do sense at times read some replies at times people are being too harsh, rude, or act like they know everything...but other than that...i have no complaints...
I do like this site and use it religiously. i only post , for the most part, when I have something informative to say. If someone says something nasty or rude, it does take a lot not to post a response, but I sit back and say....wait a minute arguing on a forum is
(not to offend the
). I am part of a bimmer forum and their site is pretty damn informative as well. Every forum will have its share of douches and I get over it.

You fix that bumper yet V?

Since I bought my car last July, this is the only forum that I frequent the most. I have learned a lot and I am still learning. I try to keep my comments in a constructive manner. Treat me the way you want to be treated and we are cool. 6th gen owners FTMFW!!!!!!
I don't post if I don't have something informative or nice to say.
I look to guys like Dues, JSmith, Chernmax, CoolMax05 that have been consistant in providing information over and over again for advice. I was even given one of their cell phone numbers to call if I had questions. I know there are more org members out there than this but I feel this personality type sets a precedence for others to follow which makes for an informative site.

^^^ lol!!
i've been a member here for a while now.. and this site is wonderful and all... but i have to admit... 6thgenmaxima.org is the best forum i've ever had the chance to be a part of. Everyone is always very helpful, even if they dont kow the full answer to your question, they will help you reach your goal.

i agree this site is damn cool, all members are friendly, some are smart asses at times, but in their own way, they balance the scales of chaos and order..lol, i have learned lot, and appreciate the opininions, even the negative ones...sometimes we do things to our cars and..and then after review or a change..be like what was i thinking...lol appreciate the senior members that have had the vehicle for 2 or more years that provide valuable info...

What has been consistent about the 6th Gen forum is the presence of more mature members and the helpful nature of most. Also many members in this forum are quick to shut down negativity or people with no added value. As long as members understand that the basis of any forum is to promote, teach, or provide constructive criticism verse hate, respect verse disrespect, communication verse miscommunication, and the willingness to help each other, this forum will continue to set an example for others to follow.
Treat each other as you would want to be treated and there should be no doubt as to the wording of your next post.
Last, If I help someone I expect you to repay me by helping someone else, at least that's the way I roll...

I have used this forum for about 2 years now. Unlike my hyundai sonata forum and the tl forum that I also frequent, this one is the one that is most helpful in terms of, not only information, but options.
It helps that there is more members here than the other forums I use. I am sure that has something to do with it.
I could live without the "this is the best generation and best car in the world" attitude though that pops up every once in a while. It's clearly not.
But all in all, it's a darn good forum.

Thanks KC2010, those are very kind words and good company you include me in.
This is a GREAT site and in my top 3. Extremely informative and 90% perfect.
The Dodge forum is actually a pretty good one. Unfortunetly the cars are not. LOL
I recently joined a "M35" site. To my susprise it's very, very, weak compared to this site.

More later...
