I remember getting the stuff for 5 and 6 dollars... crazy how much it has gone up in price... definitely still worth it.

I had my expedition done at Walmart. They basically do the same thing as everyone is doing, except with only cleaning the UIM.

Let me tell you my ford UIM was nasty before this was done. I mean it looked like tar all inside the UIM and I was extremely satisfied at the results when they finished. The Max has been really clean as far as I can tell with just regular oil changes. Looks brand new inside the valve covers. I am at almost 75k miles now

Glad it helped, nothing more important than good preventative maintenance for our Maxima's.

I just did the seafoam in the intake this weekend...wow what a difference in overall performance.
The car starts up quicker, is more responsive with less pedal, and gas mileage went up considerably.
I'm just using far less pedal than before to get the same response...

With only 23000 miles I didn't expect that much buildup. You should have seen the smoke coming out of the pipes...
My neighbors thought my car was on fire...I parked on the street in front of my house, and for a minute there you
couldn't even see my house through the smoke! Next time I'll go to a deserted parking lot to soak it and burn.

BTW, thanks for the video, you made it look so easy, I had to see for myself if the performance would be noted, and it certainly was!

Glad it helped, now don't forget the oil change, should look pretty black!

I didn't do the oil yet. I figured I'd just do the intake portion first.

Now that I'm a believer, I'll drop in the oil as soon as I am ready to do the next oil change...
