Modified E&G Grill...

Got the grill for less than $100 on Ebay from larrysbargainbasement (has a very low feedback score, sometimes taking a chance does payoff, hahaha). An all chrome grill would be too much for my car since I don't have chrome rims, so I've always wanted to try this type of grill with the center blacked out. I used electrical tape to temporarily blackout the center while leaving the outer frame chrome. Please let me know what you think.

looks good. i think you should black everything out except the emblem or just hit the emblem with a dark gray like gun metal gray, it would look hawt.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree it would look good all blacked out, but at the same time I like the look of having something "frame" the grill, hence leaving the outer portion chrome. Also, my current rims are black with a polished lip so I wanted the grill to have the same theme. Maybe I should take a picture with the wheels showing as well...

Looks good black, and I like it with the chrome frame. I took my stock frame and painted all but the frame and the burger the body color. Turned out really nice that way. There's a thread on here somewhere of it, I have a dark grey maxima (smoke I think is what they call it...K11 color code).

I have this grille- I experimented with several schemes before I painted it gunmetal. It's now all satin black. I also filed out the center support bar and will do the sides when I have more time. Oh, to answer your question, I say paint it all black.
