Fujita Air Intake
Hey guys i was thinking of purchasing a air intake but wanted to know if it was easy to install and about how much it cost. I am also wondering what does it exactly improve in your car ive heard that it improves your engine power because more cold air gets in is this true and are their any disadvantages to putting it will it make the engine louder sorry for the noob question but i really want to add one and everyone in the org seems to have one also thanks

1. FUJITA - cheaper and sounds good and produces more horsepower.
2. 40 - 60 min install
3. remove your left tire for easier access. You will need to bend your inner fender to access the filter.
4. make sure you tighten all of your nuts when installing... dont want any air escaping... :P
5. bonus - a local bmw i335 owner thought i had a turbo in my max because of the Fujita sound. I said yep! then drove off... Vrrrrrrooooommmm wiiiisssssssss rooooooooommmmm Pow!

gain of about 12-14 whp. and adds about 3-4 mpg.
and as for the install... i can do mine in under 30 minutes.. its very easy... i did a write up a while back.
and for future references, just do a search. your problem or question has most likely already been addressed.
here is the link to the write-up on how to install.

Fujita is good bang for the buck, no doubt. I'll be swapping mine out eventually for an R2C intake. They are using my car for testing. I have a thread about it too.
My reasons for the eventual switch:
Lifetime warranty on the filter element
CAI benefits with the easy instal/maintenance of a short ram intake
Best filtration in the industry... Less restriction, more dust capacity, best engine protection
Easy cleaning of filter. Compressed air from inside out. Simple as that.
R&D. The only company that I know of that designs and tests (extensively) their whole intake systems from the tubing to the filter element
Hopefully I'll pay them a 2nd visit this week for a test fit. Then they will do flow bench tests comparing their setup to my Fujita. They will produce more gains... Trust me...

Oh I plan on it!
The other thread:
http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...ake-works.html
With all that being said, I still do love my Fujita... but now that something better is in the works, I'll be switching...
