Totally understandable. I did hear back from Ed...

We have a few black nickel tubes ready and the heat shield will be here
Tuesday. We'll be at the PRI racing show next week so we can install your
system right after that.
It's too bad these guys are always on the road. PRI is from Dec. 10-12.

Pretty sure the price will be right in line with the Nismo/Injen etc. The polished and plain black finishes will be cheaper too.

Got an email from one of the engineers (I took out names, since it's not my place, but I want to share all updates with you guys)... they have some kinks to work out, for sure, and they are aware of it...

Hey ****! Sorry I've been out a few days. I'm am so sorry things have not been going smoothly on this system!! We've already released a couple others in the meantime! Maybe **** (edit - me... he was talking about a now ex-employee/engineer heh) cursed it, I don't know! LOL But it doesn't matter we will get them in stock soon and hook you up. There was a mis-communication regarding the heat shields and it got delayed unbeknownst to me. Being primarily engineering I didn't keep that close of an eye on it, but I won't let it happen again. Fortunately we have some changes coming soon that will help us provide better service regarding the intake system side of our product lines.

So...we are supposed to have the heat shields done and powder coated by the 30th. I will hunt down the black nickel tube for you. And then make sure the rest of the production tubes are on schedule and let you know about that ASAP. But at least for you, once we get the heat shields, you can come in.

Thanks again! And I apologize again. If you ever need anything just let us know.
We are going to be closed new years day but if we get them early enough maybe you can come in next week.
Merry Christmas!

Well things happen like that all the time. Good to see at least he is aware of the situation and willing to fix it. Some people would have given up. I must say you are way more patient than I am. Can't wait to see the final product.

Can't get any reeeeally good pics of the black chrome. I'll have to tinker with the camera a bit more... but my God... I feel bad for having this thing in my engine bay... since everything else is pretty dirty. lol

They need a little more time to figure out pricing and to get more systems in stock, so I'll get back to them next week. They will put together a group deal... so long as we have at least 10 orders minimum!

Here are some pics for now... Once I figure out the camera, I'll take better ones... the black chrome finish just didn't turn out in the pictures that well.

This one, my camera actually highlighted it and dulled everything else, probably because of the reflection from the flash... and it doesn't look right... lol but you get the idea:

This is the pic they sent me 2ish weeks ago... the finish turned out a lot better in this one:

Looks good, and correct your engine bay is dirty like a ****, lol.
Give us a comparision of this so far and the fujita you had. Ie. noise level and as nismos said overall feel of the car.

thanks

Feels just like the prototype I have been running for months... GREAT!!!!

Hamchan, the sound sounds a lot more refined than the Fujita... I'll try and take a drive-around video from inside within the next few days.

Love this thing... and no more digging into the fender well to change/clean the damn filter!

Overall feel is great. Nothing but gains throughout the whole RPM band.
