I don't want to assume anything but this intake should fit the 05 V6 Alti, right?
Same engine, same battery placement...
If this can be confirmed, I'm in!

!00% designed and manufactured in the USA... yessir!

maxfreak, I have been looking for a V6 Altima in the Chicago area in order to find out of this will fit (with little or no modification hopefully). The search continues. That'd be great if it did. I think at most, all they'd have to do is make changes to the heat shield, which shouldn't be too big a deal. If I find a car around here, I'll let you know, as I am sure lots of Altima guys would want in on this too.

Anyway, nothing about your post was offensive, it just provided an opportunity to make this point.

That said, there's no question that the R2C equipment carries a serious price tag, but as I think you'll agree, the design, features, workmanship and performance results add up to a seriously effective performance part.

Brian

alright we are friends now, LOL. I totally understand where you are coming from and yes i agree the features/design is something the others do not have plus i trust the build quality. heckthe black nickle is too damnn sexy to pass up. Thank you for all the work in setting this up.

Alos ORG, we need to give a lot of credit/thanks to Ooletec for seeing this through on his end and making our engine bay look good

No need to thank me, my efforts were not substantial. All bow to Ooletec, he's the man who moved this project forward.

That said, let's talk prices and terms for the group deal. I'll post a new thread (HERE) to announce this, but let's wrap this thread up with some information.

1. This group deal is only for the black-nickel units in stock now, and requires a minimum of 10 orders.
2. The group deal will end 17 March or when 20 units are sold, whichever comes first.
3. The group deal price is $279.99/unit + shipping, a savings of $50/unit.

Here are a few more things that will be useful to know:

a. This group deal is a one-time opportunity because we could never sell them at this price without a special price break from R2C.
b. We'll collect the first 10 orders and ship them out at once - after that, orders will be sent out individually as received.
c. Orders are placed over the phone by calling 800.759.9920 (US except AZ), 888.296.5153 (Canada and AZ) or 520.575.6195 (everywhere else, or if you have free long distance). We are open 9-5 MST, Monday-Thursday

That's it, let's make this happen!

They don't have any retail capacity and only sell their products through vendors like Cattman etc. Give Brian a call tomorrow.

That's right, please don't contact R2C directly, Cattman Performance is the vendor for this deal.

Thanks,

Brian

How much do you think is the Net gain on one of these intakes? Will it sound silly with the CVT?

It'd sound fine! Well when I had my car dyno'd (5sp AT), I got +9whp and +5tq over the Fujita. But I doubt you can just add the Fujita gains, and the R2c gains and get a final number. Most likely, the Fujita actually loses power. Seriously.

No category of performance parts is more difficult to evaluate with a static dyno (meaning the car is sitting still) than intakes. Over the years, I've become convinced that the most objective measurement of intake performance is an experienced driver on a 1/4 mile track.

So Brian, will this also fit my 2006 Altima SER? I have the fujita but would be up for getting this one.

Haha! Yea. At first I was like what the hell? I thought he might be worried about if my car was nice enough. I sent him a pic to reassure him!

Thanks again for the heads up!

I'm def goin down this wednesday to get it put on and instructions drawn up. Brian mentioned them maybe doing a dyno on my car, since it is pretty much stock under the hood, to see the gains from a stock intake.

I'll post picks when I get back and tell everyone what the gains were if they dyno it.

That'll be good for them. Of course, when they dyno'd my car, I already had headers, spacers, full exhaust, etc. lol I'd love to see stock numbers. Unless things have changed, their dyno guy is out in the middle of a cornfield (literally) close to Rockford. It's quite a haul... even more so for you BOOTZ. lol

I'm going in to see them on Wed too (1PMish), so they can replace the trim on the heat shield. It's a known issue and they are working on it! Hopefully Brian gets a few more orders so these things can finally ship to you guys soon!

Wish I knew someone close to Chicago. I work 3 jobs, there is no way I can make the time to go there myself. It would be about a 7 hour drive one way.
