In consultation with R2C, we've decided it would be a good idea to drop the 10-unit threshold and ship these orders as they come in. I'm holding a few here and those will ship as soon as we run the CC transactions.

As people install these, we're hoping their enthusiasm will encourage additional orders.

I will also extend the GD deadline, which is coming up pretty soon.

All of you Maxima owners and no one has a friend with a 3.5 Altima that this could be test fitted to? Would have already been at the threshold mark already. Was this JUST made for the Maxima? lol its all good just a few of us with deep pockets like to buy toys when we want to buy them.

No problem, I spend most of my time just reading and trying to learn as much as possible. I don’t really post much though.

However, I am thinking about just ordering one and crossing my fingers hoping it fits, with little to no modifications required on my part.

If anything would need to be changed (I'd hope), it'd be the heat shield (some trimming may be necessary with some metal snips etc), and possibly the mounting bracket.

I posted up on a local car forum, hoping someone will come forward. I won't hold my breath though... lol

Nice meeting you BOOTZ!

So, update guys... things should be good to go pretty soon. Just some minor tweeks etc. and tying up loose ends as far as making sure hoses/screws/instructions are concerned.

BOOTZ has an '07, and the headlight ballast is a little different, so they will have to shorten the filter by 3/8" or so, but other than that, fitment was good!

So feel free to place your orders with Cattman! *HINT HINT*

Got it in today!!!

Super happy with the way it came out! This thing make the car sound like a G35. It's quiet during normal driving, but when you step on it the sound is amazing. Plus looks amazing! Def worth every penny!

Got some pics for everyone...

It definitely sounds awesome. The VQ just loves to growl at WOT. I thought you were talking about the exhaust note. lol

I don't want to miss out on this. So, do you think it is worth ordering it and hoping it fits my Altima?

Brian, in this type of case, what is you return policy? We think it should fit fine, but would I be able to return it if there is a big fitment issue? I would let you know if it fits, and if so, you would probably get some more sales from the Altima crowd. Feel free to PM me.

Thanks,

Eric

Honestly I wouldn't risk it... there are too many variables... wiring, headlight ballast, etc. They actually have to make a different filter for the '04-06 and '07-08s because of the different headlights.

I would say go for it... def worth it!

But there are a lot of variables as Oolatec stated.

Just looking at a pic of an 06 Altima and comparing it to an 07 Maxima it looks like the battery is further to the driver's side. Probably would be a problem when fitting it.

That is a nice looking intake and IMO it would look alot better if the battery was nto there or a smaller size. By the looks of it, some parts of the intake touch it.

It's a tight fit but the heat shield doesn't touch the battery. BOOTZ has some fat cables for his amp which made it even tighter. Stock cables are no problem.

I really want this. Just worried it won't fit and I will have wasted a good chunk of money that could have gone toward something else.

Help, I am stuck on the fence, and don't know which way to fall.

If I were you I'd just buy a filter and put together your own piping and heat shield. This intake really is about the filter after all.

So then if this is the case, then I should just buy a filter for my Fujita, you know, the one that you hate, and call it a day?????lol

Can you at least post pics of how it attaches to the fender? (heat shield)

Does it just sit there or what?

Also, how does it get any air wedged behind the headlight?

Shouldn't the factory air tunnel be reinstalled or is air deverted from underneath?

If you look in my second pic, post #331, you can see where the heat shield has a mounting tab that bolts to the fender.

There is a air tunnel below the filter in the wheel well, I'm told.

The front air tunnel hits the heat shield when installed, I am thinking of reinstalling it. But it will need to be shortened.

Well, they don't make one that small... none of their filters will fit in the wheel well.

Ok, I fell off of the fence, at least for now. I will keep an eye on this thread, if it is confirmed it will fit on an 05-06 Altima, I will order one ASAP. Thanks for all the help everyone. That intake would have really looked good in my engine bay.

Installed my R2C today shortly after it arrived and all I can say is WOWWWW!!! Amazing quality and sound!!! It was a VERY tight fit to get the filter in however due to my NWP spacer in the TB. Overall very happy with this intake!

Throttle response is better which is to be expected with a shorter intake tube. Sound is DEEEEPP. I find It is relatively quiet under normal driving conditions but when you start to step on it you instantly hear it and it sounds good! I def. am getting the impression my engine is breathing better b/c when rpm's are climbing it pulls stronger than any of the other 3 intakes I had on my max in the past. I am very happy with this intake and it looks sexy.

I wish someone with an 05-06 Altima, located somewhere close to Chicago, would step up for the team. I really want one of these.

So I searched through this thread, but did anyone actually dyno this intake? The asking price is a lil up there for a short ram (yes black chrome is pretty). Would be nice to see what gains, if any, came out of this.
