Fujita installed

Finally got one from a fellow member and installed last night. I have to admit i love the balance between the roar it exhibits at high rpm and the relative subdued sound at the lower end - very much stockish but with little more bite if you know what i mean.

I love it...and as usual, there is a "but" (for me at least)...i just need some reassurance from those that have it installed that these two problems will work itself out.

1) I noticed at around the 4-5k rpm range it kind of hesitates to accelerate and change gears, even while in tiptronic mode. is this normal initially?

2) When starting when the engine is hot/warm it immediately stalls. Cold starts are normal. I guess it has something to do with idle rpm. Is this normal?

I am hoping its just the ecu programming itself and will eventually correct itself.

I will check all hoses, connections again, maybe even clean the MAF sensor with some CRC, and i guess after a couple of days unplug the battery again. (battery was unplugged the whole time while installing the jita)
oh yeah, no SES light.

it seems like your ECU may need to be relearned. just give it a couple days.. should be fine.. when i installed my nismo intake it was doing the same thing.. but not shutting down on low idle..

^^^Like MaxJ said, give it a couple of days for the ECU to reprogram and welcome to the Jita family

I didn't have those issues right after I installed my Fujita. No stalling and no hesitation at all.

i'll give it a couple of days.

For the engine stalling I've also tried accelerator pedal released learn, throttle valve closed learn, and idle air volume relearn.
I may remove the intake to check the throttle plate, i may have accidentally nudged it and it may not be fully closed.

Is there a way to adjust the idle rpm manually on our cars?

Got it fixed, cleaned the MAF sensor and no more stalling and better shifting.

how is the fujita intake compared to the NISMO and K and N? those are the three i have been looking into, the NISMO offers about 15 hp @ 6400 RPMs, K and N offers about 8 @ 5000 RPMs. Im looking for a nice combo of sound and power gains.

on the websites they say you can get 15-20% more HP. im fairly new to the mod game, but how can they offer upwards of 40 horses when everything else is around 15?

I also installed the f5 fujita intake a few months ago,no issues at all. regarding performance and sound, its exactly what i was looking for, quiet at low rpms and a roaring beast at high rpms.

Im not sure where you got that info but there's no intake that offers 40 hp. 40 hp is a lot. 12 to 15 is max, if that.

There are many threads on this, If you have a flooding problem you might want to look in to something that you can convert into a short ram at times (Like the Nismo) or you can have the fujita. I personally went with the nismo.
