Well, I custom painted my headlights but not my car though. Also, I don't recommend that you paint your own car. Unless you have professional tools and facility that is at your disposal with some years experience in painting.

If you want to paint your grille or something like that then it would be a good choice to make when you got the time.

I was wondering if any one could PM me the best way to tint the head/tail lights. I do have HID head Lights. I want it to look good for a reasonable price. (i started to read through but lost interest in the convo with the original poster)

U can check tint shops around u to see if they can do it or get some overlays and do them urself

Paint the housing, best of both worlds. You won't loose any visibility that way and less likely to get pulled over.

and payed for my car out of pocket

i had a 2000 328 ci on 19" staggered bbs rims before the maxima

but that got totalled out

so overall slime....

Painted headlights is the way to go. It looks better than just regular tinted headlights IMO.
