Fastest 6th gen ?
Hey man, what day was this at MIR? I head up there 5-6 times a year for open track days and other events. Was actually up there on 22-Oct letting my 7th Gen rip down the track to get my baseline. Nice lookin 6th gen by the way!

This picture I took in Jun of 2009 during track day of MAXUS09, (Notice all the Maxima's in the picture) the Maxima community had MIR exclusively most of the day Saturday till 2pm. Unlimited Maxima racing, car show, audio competition, test and tune, award ceremony, etc. etc. AWESOME day even if it was HOT. I had a tent cover though

That's awesome! Hope that event gets back to MIR in the near future. I've been tagging along with the 370Z and GTR folks with AAM in Annapolis the past few times at MIR for private track days. What was your best time? I see that big turbine under the hood of your car, interested to see what you ran

13.5 was my best time, then I blew the engine and did a rebuild, that came out great now I'm putting down too much power (currently 345whp with 8psi of Boost) and lost 3rd gear in my tranny (again) so this time I'm taking it to Level 10 transmission for a bullet proof rebuild (guarenteed 700hp plus/with 75K Warrenty)), then back to tuning and should get really close to 370-390whp and 12 second runs... At least that's the goal and IMO achievable.

So far my best run (bone stock) was 13.93 @ 100.45 at MIR a few weeks ago. With some help from AAM, hope to have her running consistent mid 13's with just bolt on's!

I cannot believe you're able to drive it on the street with that much fwhp. With that kind of power, RWD would obviously be the better choice! Props to ya though for building one sick FI motor in a fwd sedan. Get that power to the ground and I'm sure you could run in the 12's.

Last, I have a GReddy Pro Spec-B II auto boost controller which is pre programmed with a 1 button push between low boost 4psi (Street) and 8psi (track) for manageable street driving. Not to mention after 7 years of driving her I know what makes her naughty or nice!
Lowering and stiffening the suspension (D2 Coilovers, F/R Endlinks with Energy Suspension bushings, Stillen Rear Anti-sway bar, Custom upper rear stiffening bar, Stillen FUSB, and Nissan Altima SE-R lower front anti sway bar (24mm verse stock 22mm) and great tires (BF Goodrich G-force KDW-II) were a Hugh factor in being able to control torque steer at launch as well as get a straight level launch with minimum squat!

You've done all the suspension goodies that I've planned on doing to my 7th Gen. Yeah, I'm hatin' hahaha. Sounds like you've done this car right for both suspension and power. Ever take it to Summit Point or VIR? As long as you've got the right brakes, that would be a place to test out those 7 years or driving skills

As for brakes, Wilwood 4 Piston Big Brake kit Front (13.9" rotor) and Rear (12.25" rotor)! Steel braided brake lines, synthetic brake fluid, Hawk HPS brake pads...

Front:

All around:

Because of the BBK, I had to also purchase a full size racing spare!

LOL, she's also my daily driver so I try not to abuse her, done the Summit Point run with a friend of mine. AWESOME fun, but next time the wife stays home!

5mm spacers (didn't really need them but since I had them thought the look was better in making the wheels look more flush. As for the Wilwood BBK yes 4 piston F/R and the ABS controls them excellent with no rear bias! Picked them up from Fastbrakes.com, they come with the adapter plates that make them fit. On the rear, I had to cut off the small rim (lip) that goes around (over) the rear OEM size rotor due to the new larger size!

The only thing that is gonna suck for you is traction. Gonna be hard to get some tires that will work on those bigger wheels you have to run.

On a side note, it's been almost 2 years since I first did the Turbo on my Max!
a 14.19 is not that difficult to do in this car with a few mods. I did a 14.725 stock with street tires and a 125lbs speaker box in the trunk with the volume blaring Slipnot. I also had a horrible trap time. 13 sec could be achieved Naturally Aspirated. I will be doing some runs in May hopefully. No track out here in Hawaii so haven't gotten the opportunity to test out the mods I have yet. with my setup, I would need 325hp at the flywheel to achieve a 13.9 quarter mile. If I got rid of the speaker box and spare tire, I would be at 13.75. Still not near the best but those guys are spraying. I say build it to the best NA then spray or boost. Most want the power now.

my tranny was going down to bits on my car and i recently installed nitrous and did a few fun runs in mexico and put its misery to an end
never got a chance to take it to the track
new tranny should be in in about a month ...
car is sitting right now ... with my nitrous system installed and a full bottle
