Fastest 6th gen ?
It depends what you mean by "fastest". If its fastest in teh sense of straight line performance, I think Kevin has the lowest time for the 1/4 mile. If its fastest in terms of speed on a track, thats unknown, but Im sure my car is at the top of the heap. Chern has a turbo on his car, and it would be at the top too I believe.
ah ok
so techinically at the track timed and recorded officially he is the fastest 6th gen ..
you guys need to take those monsters out to the track
ill be done with my car within 2 months as well
pretty much going for everything he's got on his car

I didn't know him or anything but Kevin was one of the former member's that had one of the fastest recorded 6th gen's in the whole nation. Dues and Chern also have some FAST Maximas due to Chern having a turbo installed in his ride and Deus with a garage full of mods in his ride too.
im just asking out of curiosity
and im im doing some work to come a little close to those numbers
really nothing to lose
once i accomplish that
there's a 4thgen waiting for a transplant from the 6th gen
from what I remember he had intake, exhaust, and Nitrous. Pretty much achievable for most of us. A lot of us don't have much time to make it out to the track or don't have a track to go to, like me. I am very curious to see Chern's quarter with the level 10 trans, turbo, and tune done.

I'll be getting a transmission rebuild at level 10 soon and they guarentee upwards of 700-1000HP with a 75,000 mile warrenty. Once complete, back to tuning and some track times. There is no doubt in my mind that she'll be in the low 12's maybe even high 11's once complete. Need cash first!

Here's a brief mod list of the engine!

No, all my adjustments in tuning are through my Split Second Timing computer. An ECU upgrade (TechnoSquare) is not recommended for a boosted car since Boost levels can be adjusted and an ECU upgrade is normally mapped based on specific mods and Dyno run files.
what about TCU have upgrade?

They are not a computer upgrade, they are piggy back computers that tie into the ECU wiring harnes and set new performance parameters (Air/Fuel) for Tuning. APEXi Super SP-II is one kind, UTEC is another.
My computer is made by Slit Second Timing and also Greddy Spec B Auto Boost Controller are unique for Turbos or SC cars. I purchased mine with my Turbo setup from Speed Force Racing.
I don't have any TCU computers nor do I know anyone who installed one in a Maxima!

Didn't really read all this thread but I see some speculations on the fastest 6th gen... again kevin is the fastest RiP and everybody can say this and that about who got what and whatnot, the fact that kevin has official times then that makes him faster, I font really care who has any kinds of boost and who's car is "technically" faster, go lay some times down at the 1/4 as that's what really determines the faster car... until then, kevin007 is the fastest....... You know I roll with MD and I did roll with RIP, Kevin.
Well since you didn't read all the post your speculation is wrong, no one on here including me claimed to be faster than Kevin. I've still not broken a 12.8 and neither has anyone else in a 6th Gen. So don't go gettin all bent out of shape for nothin...

Well I skimmed where somebody said "it depends on what kind of fast" when did auto-x decides the faster car, faster cars were always determined by 1/4... period... I respect auto-x and to this day its something I always wanted to try but, I do know you rolled with kevin and MD mr chern... I've always wanted to ask the dcmax group this question...... during kevin's days has anybody been to any track in MD and not see 007???... true track legend and good friend
Yeah Kevin was the Bomb, one of the few old school people (like myself
) who greeted you with a smile and a handshake and you knew you'd like the guy in under 12.8 Seconds! We rolled together at meets (6thgenmaxima meets, RCP, BBQ, Corey's house parties, Capitol Raceway and MIR). We also traded items and me and him would meet up one on one and talk, chill, etc. Kevin also made this VID of my ride! I miss him, old school friendship from a stand up guy!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppp5sfbtmTQ
You do have those 2 extra gears though lol.... you do have some good times though... I believe u do have that record also and probebly won't be touched anytime soon
Get some headers though... should work magic...
EDIT:.... IIRC kevin didn't have headers either, just a Y, which offer gains but not as much as headers...
