How can I get the pivot bolt loose on the power steering pump?

So, I'm changing the timing chain tensioner and guides on my fiance's 04 Max and everything is going smooth so far, but I'm having a ***** of a time getting the pivot bolt loosened on the power steering pump so I can get the belt off! I've tried a series of 18" extensions to try and access from the drivers side as well as a ratcheting wrench from the underside and can't get it loosened. Has anyone got the infamous secret to snapping it loose?

So there are 2 bolts and the lower one is reversed threaded. Well not really by CCW loosens the bolt the top one allows the assembly to move up and down to tightn or loosen. YouTube the 4th gen version it's the same.

Thanks. The adjuster and the bolt that locks the adjuster are both loose, I'm talking about the bolt on the backside of the power steering pump that goes through the engine block.

it is done with 14 mm socket on a offset ratchet. what is offset ratchet? it's a ratchet that has a handle which can pivot up or down. if ratchet handle is too short, slide over a piece of metal tube over handle for extension
