anyone was able to repair door lock assembly?

max is 100K miles

front driver lock assy went bad last yeat (wouldnt power lock/unlock)
changed it, works fine now.

now it's the front passenger one going bad... not working fine with the electric system

Anyone has a fix for it, or just bite the bullet and buy a new one? kind of expensive...

I'm looking for the samething and while Googling around, I've read that the issue can be resolved it by either:
- cleaning the ground of the actuator (ground connection went bad)
- unplug and re-plug back the actuator
- wrap the thermal resistor within the actuator

Infos taken from here:

I will give a try to these solutions when i have some time or if anyone here will try it and post the results

make sure it is greased real good, I left mine the way it is. will work sometimes and not others. I just get in and unlock. Pointless I know but not worth the money IMO.

Just replace the assembly. They are not that expensive. Takes about an hour and a half per door. I've replaced 3 of mine so far.

that max looks pretty damn sleek. If only you could paint the tails the same color as your headlights and get away with it. it would blend nicely. As for the thread I don't have anything else to offer sorry.
