Ever try this on your trunk?

Excuse my ignorance, but what did you plastadip? The license plate surround? I've never used this product myself...I have a '95, would this prolong the rubber stripping on the roof, or just covers it with a new finish?

I give those guys credit. Various videos/posts say it holds up 1-3 years looking good, but the beauty is that it's really easy to do it again.
Check out the M3, and the detail on the headlights, mirrors, M3 logo, the smoked tail lights (also plasti-dipped) etc.
I'm pretty tempted to try this one day.
It holds up to powerwashing and car washes (though they recommend a gentler approach), and they have metallic and gloss finishes to go on top of the colors for effects.
I imagine that using an application clear on the hood would make a great stone/chip protector.

a power washer?! no... a power washer is how you take plastidip OFF.
maintaining plastidip on your car is like fitting braces on a great white. Its not worth it.
