07 Weird sound during acceleration

Whats up people, im having a weird noise during acceleration. Its not a TC issue, and its not an oil issue. It happens around 2k rpm or a lil higher when its under load. It sounds more like an manifold leak. This sounds weird but kinda like a tweeting sound if that makes sense. It not the exhaust brackets and it does not sound during idle. I have also checked to make sure the intake mani. was tight. Any ideas?

Well, you'll never really know until you find it, but keep in mind that the CVT transmission puts a far greater load on the car than you could ever hope for by getting under her and shaking and pulling at parts. Thus, I would venture to say that it is probably the CVT that is causing the noise.

I had the noise before I had the local dealership replace the cvt under warranty. The noise is still there after. I'm wondering if its a bad pcv that I bought and replaced last sept..

hard to tell without more info, maybe a more precise location, a video clip that is clear enough to hear. Noises are hard to diagnose.

I don't think your CVT is bad, it is just that when the CVT shifts to six gear, the load on the car can rattle stuff pretty darn good. It would be like driving a standard transmission and shifting from 2nd to 6th at 25mph. The load brought on the car by the tranny would be enough to cause rattling of anything that has any amount of play in it. So, if it is that, then there is no getting around, for that is just how the CVT is. It annoyed me in the beginning, but I rarely notice it now.

Just got back from the dealership for an oil change. I took the mechanic for a drive and pointed out the sound. After 20 mins of them looking for the noise they came back with nothing. They said maybe the fuel I use, by the way the fuel dampers make hella noise. The mechanic asked me if I wanted to have them charge me an hours worth of labor to take the belts off and listen for the noise again, I said no thanks so here I am still with this annoying chirping noise on acceleration.

My 2005 SL. (No CVT) had a rattle that sounded like a manifold leak but actually was a loose cover on one of the catalytic converters. Took quite a while and a good tech to figure it out.

yeah with my 05 se the exhaust gusset broke, making that strange noise. But with my 07 its a different type of noise. I know this sounds weird but it sounds like birds chirping. Im at a loss with this noise and location..
