I bought my 2004 Nissan maxima back in august and the guy i bought it from threw in some rims.

Just looked them up yesterday and couldn't find much info on them but from what i did find im wondering if these are possibly worth some money?

They are Dronell Rims, here are some pics...

(They are kind of dirty in the close up picture)
If anyone knows about these or if they are worth anything please let me know because i am trying to get some black rims.

They're out of Japan, they're around the same prices as Volk AV3s, which are around 700+ a wheel. I'm not sure if these are exactly the same price.

Upon further inspection, I've found a few threads of a set of 4 being sold from 1200-1500$

See above. Craigslist, check if the brand has a forum, check if you can find just a forum for wheels. eBay or classifieds.

What tint do you have, and what percentage? How do you get away with tinting the front sides?

I have 18% on all four windows plus the back windshield.
iv'e never had an issue with it, the police don't really seem to care about tint where i live.
