Engine noise on deceleration

I have a 2007 Maxima SL which recently threw a code for a cylinder 6 misfire. Confirmed that the coil pack was bad by moving it to a different cylinder and the misfire code changed cylinders accordingly. I replaced the coil pack with OEM part from dealer. It ran good for a couple days. Then it started making a pretty loud clattering noise on deceleration.

Heres the symptoms:
  • Loud clattering on deceleration.
  • makes same noise but not as bad under acceleration at between 2 and 2.5K Rpm's.
  • Steady throttle at 1500 rpm in park and it clatter's loudly.
  • Revving engine it is fine.
  • No check engine light or trouble code.
  • Sounds like it is coming from the top of the motor but can't isolate where.
  • Seems a little sluggish under acceleration.
Anybody ever have this same problem or have an idea what the issue might be??
I am going to try upload a link with the noise.

Couple Questions. Is there a way to test the fuel dampers to see if they're bad?
Any idea of the procedure to change them?
Having a hard time finding where to get them online for a 2007 Maxima?

Also it seems that most of the threads I have read with fuel damper problems are noticeable at idle. Mine sounds fine at idle. The only thing I notice is the idle is a tiny bit rough but this is barely noticeable. The Noise gets really loud if I hold it at a steady 1500 RPM in park or while driving after accelerating then taking my foot off the gas.

Thanks

Okay,

Here's another video of what it sounds like from inside the car. In the first 20 seconds there's alot of back round noise from traffic going past. At 30 seconds you can start to really hear the noise.
Anybody care to chime in please?? Really appreciate some help here !! Thanks.

http://www.courtesyparts.com/22675ma...ml?cPath=2668& I would get the sku # and call your local dealer and ask for price. Also might consider asking for cost of replacement. Might not be the damper causing it. http://my350z.com/forum/maintenance-...amper-tsb.html Looks like we are not the only ones with the problem with no fix. Guys on the Z forum replaced the dampers and the injectors. One guy replaced the hose on his G35 which was hard and cracked and that fixed the issue. Others are still looking for a fix. I personally have not had this sound happen. I have had the timing chain tick which forced me to use thicker oil. 15w50 mobile 1. that solved my sound issues. I also only use premium gas and with every oil change I use Lucas fuel additive to lube up the fuel system.
