2007 Maxima question

OK so I took my maxima in to Nissan in Rochester today, yesterday the car seemed to lose power at stops, when id take off my trans would shake and seem to slip some until I picked up speed, then it would run great. So Nissan said my transmission is shot and they could put a reman in for 3,485.00 after I left the dealership I pulled my dipstick from the transmission and it barely had and fluid on it so I added cvt trans fluid it worked a little better, now heres my problem! I seem to have a major loss of power even in park, I can hit the gas peddle and the car bogs pretty bad, the when I shut the car off and restart it it runs at the right rpms? could this be the problem? Please give me some insite if anyone has an idea? Im lost on this and if I don't need a 3,400 dollar tranny id be a happy man.

Have you tried to replace your cam positon sensors? They have a lot to do with losing power while driving, car doesn't start right away, and jumpy idle. But then again your TCS Off, Slip and check engine light would be on. My 07 was doing this and it was a leaking cam postion sensor bank 1.

How many miles under the transmission? If you are under 120,000, it should be covered.

yeah what he said. If you took it to a dealer and they didn't tell you the fluid was low, I would call and complain to the service manager. The first thing you are suppose to check is the fluid. They should have said fluid is low, filled it up, drive it and see if it continues.
