2004 headlamp replacement

Hope you guys can help,

I have installed bluish white LED-strip running lights below the headlamps on my '04 Maxima 3.5 SE. They look great but now show how yellow my stock halogen bulbs are in comparison. So I've wanted to replace my headlamp and foglight bulbs with something cleaner (6000k…?) but I'm told nothing will fit. I have even purchased bulbs on line in the past that claimed to be compatible but they were not. I don't want to upgrade the entire casings to HID or anything like that $$$ just for the color but I'm told that is my only option. I can't believe there aren't simply replacement bulbs that I can purchase and have my mechanic install for me (no, I'm not doing it myself, guys. I'm not as handy as many of you). LED, Xenon, Halogen… So confused! I don't need the best, the brightest, and the most expensive. I live in an area where roads are well lit. I just want decent bulbs that are the right hue. Please know I'm just a layman so I appreciate it if you keep your responses simple enough for a guy like me to understand. Thanks in advance for your response, guys.

SG

Halogen - 1990s, HID - 2000s and LED 2010s

To get the look you want you have to upgrade to HID. There are many different ways so do some research before you make a decision. The best cost / performance option is to retrofit in OEM HID projectors with philips D2s bulbs. Good luck!
