Power steering issues?

Hey guys I have the 6spd 04 model maxi. Light mods. I have randomly and recently been having some tension in my steering wheel lately. Like its power steering going out or something. Wheel just feels not as free. I have no leaks. Full fluids. Anyone else had this issue?

Any noise when you turn the wheel? are your tires properly inflated?

No noise at all. From wheel or under hood I mean period. And I made sure to put my tires to spec. And same results.

On the rack and pinion, there are points where grease can be shot into it.. You car should be put on a lift and checked.

Pump is easy to change.. Just can be messy with removing the bolt and the fluid going all over the place.

There's a u joint on the lower portion of the shaft from the steering wheel. It tends to rust and cause hard turning of the steering wheel. It happened to me...just sprayed a whole bunch of lube onto it and the problem went away.

Search the forum....there are other posts about this.

You can get a steering oil pressure gauge the pressure is high 1160-1276psis
Check it follow the precautions before and check the TSBs
