I have read about the leaking high pressure hose. Could it be something else? Could the pressure switch crack and leak? Could the switch come loose and leak? Could the bolt holding the hose on the pump come loose? Maybe a crush washer?
I plan on pulling the cover back from the hose and seeing if fluid id coming from there. Just covering all my bases.

Loosen one of your tie rod boots and see if it's got power steering fluid in it. This was a surprise to me the other night and, from what I've read, it could be a leak in the rack and pinion seals.

 

The seals on the p/s rack can leak.

Mine did and had to be replaced recently. Along with the pump and high pressure hose.

If you have them replace the rack just have them do the high pressure hose too. I didn't because the mechanic told me it was fine, but when I got it back with the new rack and pump, it had developed new leaks where it crimps to the metal end.

 

If it is one of the seals in mine, it must be a very slow leak. I checked the fluid level and it looks to be in range.

 

Make sure fluid not coming from the CV drive shaft and boot. I thought on mine that what I saw was PS fluid but leak was from the boot. Replaced CV shaft and all fine.
