Pull back when off the throttle
Pull back when off the throttle
Ive been having an issue where my 2007 nissan maxima pulls back when i let off the gas. Its almost like a sticky throttle. The car doesnt pull to either side. Also the car idles a bit rough and rpms fluctuate especially at idle. Lastly there is a some hesitation when taking of from a stop. Could this be a bad or dirty throttle body?

Try doing the throttle position sensor relearn procedure and see if it helps. Maybe clean the maf with some crc maf cleaner.
The TB could be dirty, but I believe moving the throttle plate by hand will damage the unit.
I also have some slight hesitation until about 3k if I mat it. Still spins the tires but I'm not taking off as fast as I should, Idk why though. Mines an 08' sl

I went ahead and cleaned the throttle body. It was a little dirty but some carb cleaner worked well. The MAF sensor was very clean so i think thats good. Did the relearn. It runs a little better from faster respnse from the throttle. Unfortunately I'm still getting alot of strange problems. I think its the alernator. It's making whining noises when on the accelerator its the worst. Changing from park to nuetral also makes the car surge. Experiecing a high idle and rough idle at first start. Tach is also jumping at idle but no codes. Sporadic rpms at high rpms also. The camshaft bank 1 sensor was replaced 2 weeks ago did pop.a code. It did go off after install.

Its the dreaded
timing chain tensioner from the guides wearing out. Initially i thought alt but the noise has gotten worse. It's coming from the crank case behind the alternator.
