New to site/ problem with my 2008 Max cutting off while driving

Hello everyone!
I'm having problems with my car cutting off while driving. I have a 2008 Maximum with about 143 thousand miles. I've changed the fuel tank, crank shaft sensor, both O2 sensors and it still cuts off. If I drive at a steady speed of about 40 to 45 it won't cut off as quick but it will still cut off.
Any suggestions?

You might need to change the cam sensors. Is your SES (Service Engine Soon) light on?

Yes. The SES light is on.
I've replaced that sensor. I didn't mean the crank sensor. I apologize.

If SES light is on then run a scan for error codes. It's advisable to replace with an oem cam sensor.

On my 03 Max it had same symptom but I was allowed to restart and drive home. Was the camshaft sensors.

I have an 08 sl and had similar problems.

Would accelerate to like 45 and take my foot off the gas and it would die. Took several seconds to get it to fire up after that.

Took a while to throw a code but it was one of the cam position sensors.

When I pulled the sensor out it had a fair amount of caked on oil/sludge in the crevasses. A new one fixed it, but it probably could have been fixed by cleaning it.

If you do replace it, only get Hitachi. It is OEM and others may not work correctly.

Never fire a parts cannon before reading the codes! What code are you getting?

I had a similar problem and my mechanic cleaned the sensor after telling me it was covered in oil sludge and it hasnt died since but now im dealing with a knocking sound and my gas mileage is terrible ,when it used to be great.
