Map Lamp Assembly Light Dome Upper Roof Console On Off Switch
Map Lamp Assembly Light Dome Upper Roof Console On Off Switch
Somehow magically my ON OFF button for the door interior lights came out of the map light assembly... I was literally at work when it happened. I got into my car and it was in the cupholder broken off. Wtf? Its impossible to replace as the upper console is no longer being made.
The sunroof button works fine... as do the map lights. Seriously weird.
Anyone know if anyone parting out their car that I could buy the assembly off of for a non-insane price? I'm in Toronto, Canada.
I dont think its fixable because all the little pieces behind it are all fallen out and the clip on the side of the switch broke. Its almost like someone did it to my car on purpose when I left it unlocked. Extremely weird.
Thanks!
I've been looking myself, seems like a common point of failure. If you just want the dome light to function like a dome light, follow
. Personally instead of cutting all the wires, I'll probably use a short pigtail and two tap splice connectors to connect the white and orange wires.
Map lamp assy
I had that same broken switch in the off position in my 2004 Maxima years ago. I thought I could just replace the switch but you can not. You must replace the whole MAP light assembly. The dealer wanted like $240 for it and I couldn't find on ebay or at local junk yards but I ended up finding cheaper online at nissanwhoesaleparts.com try checking out courtesyparts.com also for lower prices but its been years since I tried those websites so can't promise.
