My car was having stuck in 5th gear issues I changed the valve body and camshaft sensor it’s Normal but now the car won’t move. In reverse it revs high no movement until about 4/5k rpm then creeps forward. In drive same thing no real movement just creeping forward. What could be wrong? Throttle body? Bad tranny? Only 84k

 

Might be you crank or cam sensors. Do you have a check engine light?

 

no check engine and I changed the camshaft sensor because of slam shifting

 

Replace the TCM relay, Its a Blue relay Mounted behind the pass side kick panel. Not much information to be found on this part or its diag. I actually replaced it with a used one about 3 years ago. The cam sensors, can cause this but they can infact be tested. None of my technical data mentions this relay as being the cause of the 5th gear start and related issues. However, its been a Problem on 3 different Maximas, I've come across who had replaced all the aforementioned parts with no luck. Either New Nissan, or used OEM on this. No aftermarket brands. Keep us Updated on what fixed it. PEace/
