Random unattached hose & Air box connection

I am including pictures to help you help me figure this out. Just took all of intake manifold off to install new plugs and coils 2004 Max - 6 Spd. Just bought the car.... as I am finishing I notice two odd things...

#1 there is a random hose coming from what appears to be transmission with nothing to connect to - is it suppose to just connect to rubber tube coming from air box so the transmission can breath or something? See pic.

#2 - the part of the original air box has a intake that sets right above radiator and then connects to air box inlet port. But it is not attached well. I could just use tape but should there be a strap or something holding those pieces together if left original? see pic.

Thanks for any and all help. Love this place and excited about my low miles Maxima.

First pic: just snug those two pieces together -

Second pic: my guess is that is the breather hose for the transmission so that it does not become heat pressurized. I have one on my CVT.

Both are normal, leave them be.

The transmission hose is just a vent open to the air.

The intake inlet is before the filter so there is no need to seal it.
