2007 maxima SL start issue

Got an 07 Maxima SL and the car doesn’t want to start sometimes when u turn the key! It doesn’t per say have a key but u have to have key fob close so it recognizes it! My questions are
1. Can I just change the battery in the key fob without having to reprogram it
2. What other issues could be causing it to not start or Turn over when u turn the key
3. Is the brake supposed to be pressed for it to start bc mine starts most of the time without it pressed or pressed
coukd this be my issue the brake switch

-Yes, you can change out the FOB battery without concern.
-I can start my 07 without depressing the brake pedal.
-I've had my key reprogrammed, so the car would recognize the security chip. The engine would crank over but it would not start until the key was reprogrammed. If you car will not crank, then you have other issues than the security chip in the key. As for those other issues, there could be several - loose wire connections, damaged wires...the list could go on.

Just an FYI, i changed the batteries in the key fob but had to wind up putting a new starter on it to fix the no start issue
