Brake light on

Brake light on

Hey everyone so my dash brake light is on… I’ve check the fluid it’s not low, I’ve checked the e brake it’s not engaged I’ve checked the fuse didn’t seem blown but replaced it anyways what else should I be checking and or what else could cause the light to be on?
I have a code C1109

Your rubber stopper's probably gone brittle and broken. If so check the floor under the brake pedal you may find pieces of the broken part. Here's a useful video

Jack up car and remove and clean the speed sensor (plugged into the wheel bearings)

if in a salt/snow area, grim tends to build up on the sensor. Clean with soap.


do all 4, and report back

Some of those dash warning lights will come on if you experience a burnt-out brake light. Happened on my 2003.

Happened to me. Was the third light at the rear window.
