car is smoking from under hood but not overheating
i have a 05 maxima that recently after driving at highway speeds, whenever i come to a complete stop it starts smoking from hood. same happens after a while of driving when i park the car and just let it idle. car doesn’t overheat and is not leaking coolant, although there is oil but very minimum to cause the smoke that comes out. any tips on what i should check?
It's a burnt oil smell and not a sweet hot coolant smell? Check the valve covers and any other high up oil sealing places, sounds like there may be an oil leak that's dripping onto the exhaust manfiolds and burning off
its smells more like oil but i do notice little oil in the valve covers but it seems to little for it to be causing not exaggerated smoking but somewhat a decent constant smoke
